Truth_or_Consequences_IconSynopsis: Based on the work of Dr. Jim Wilkes, “Truth or Consequences” is a film that explores the importance of telling children and youth the truth about their life experiences (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and the consequences of not doing so. Dr. Wilkes discusses why children and youth must be “kept in the loop” regarding plans for their care. He reviews barriers that prevent us from being honest with children and youth and strategies to overcome these. Commentary from child welfare workers and youth are presented throughout the video.
